About Tyler Hicks

I’m Tyler Hicks, driver of the #6 Legend Car from Leucadia, California. Racing has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember, from spending weekends at the track with my grandparents to working under the hood in my family’s automotive shop. What started as a childhood fascination quickly turned into a lifelong passion and career path.

I began racing U.S. Legend Cars in 2012, and since then, the sport has become a defining part of who I am. Every season since that first green flag has been about growth, learning, competing, and pushing to get faster both on and off the track.

Life at Scott’s Automotive

Off the track, you can find me at Scott’s Automotive, my family’s shop in Leucadia, California. Cars have always been in my blood, and working in the shop has shaped the racer I am today.

At Scott’s, we specialize in classic vehicles and restorations, especially pre-1980s cars, but we’ll take on just about anything with a motor. Working hands-on every day gives me a deep mechanical understanding that translates directly to racing. Knowing how each component affects performance helps me fine-tune my cars, diagnose issues, and push harder every time I hit the track.

Scott’s Automotive isn’t just a business; it’s the foundation of my racing journey, where my love for cars evolved into a lifelong pursuit of speed and precision.

🏆 Career Highlights

Over the years, I’ve built a strong record across U.S. Legend CarsPro 4 Modifieds, and endurance karting, earning multiple championships and consistent podium finishes.

The next chapter is about progress, faster cars, stronger finishes, and continuing the legacy that started back home in the shop.

The Drive Behind the Wheel

For me, racing is more than competition, it’s a lifestyle. From long nights in the shop preparing the car to the rush of the green flag, I’m constantly pushing to improve my craft. Each race brings new challenges, new lessons, and new motivation to go faster.

I take pride in representing my family, my team, and my sponsors both on and off the track, always with the same determination that’s fueled my journey since day one.
